    Pumpkin Spice Latte Espresso Martini

By Lisa WellsUpdated August 29, 2025 · This post may contain affiliate links · Leave a Comment

If you love pumpkin spice lattes and sweet martinis, this Pumpkin Spice Latte Espresso Martini might be your new favorite. It’s creamy, a little sweet, and full of coffee flavor with just the right amount of pumpkin spice.

Made with RumChata Pumpkin Spice, espresso, vanilla vodka, and coffee liqueur, it has all the cozy flavors of the classic fall latte—just in martini form. With a spiced sugar rim and cinnamon stick garnish, it’s an easy drink you’ll want to make all season long for Halloween, Thanksgiving, fall evenings, or casual get-togethers.

And if you're looking for a pumpkin spice cocktail without coffee, try my Perfect Pumpkin Spice Martini made with real pumpkin.

    Ingredients

RumChata Pumpkin Spice, Smirnoff vanilla vodka, Kahlua, shot of espresso and cocktail glass.
    • RumChata Pumpkin Spice cream liqueur – made with rum and cream, it gives the drink its creamy pumpkin spice flavor with pumpkin and pie spice notes.
    • Espresso – fresh-brewed espresso gives the martini its bold coffee flavor. You’ll want to use a strong shot here—if you don’t have an espresso machine, a concentrated cold brew also works.
    • Kahlua – a rum-based coffee liqueur that adds a rich sweetness and boosts the coffee notes from the espresso. Any coffee liqueur will work here if that’s what you have on hand.
    • Vodka – I like vanilla vodka in this since it blends well with the pumpkin spice. But you can also use plain vodka.
    • Ice cubes – for shaking everything together until it’s icy cold.
    • To rim the glass – maple syrup (or another sticky liquid) plus a mix of pumpkin spice and sugar. This gives the drink an extra layer of sweet spice that makes it feel festive.
    • For garnish – coffee beans are the classic finishing touch, while a cinnamon stick adds a little extra seasonal flavor.

    Bar Equipment

Cocktail shaker – using a stainless steel shaker with a built-in strainer makes the whole process quick and easy.

Measuring glass – I like using this oversized shot-style measuring glass—it makes measuring ounces for drinks simple.

Cocktail glasses – martini glasses are the classic choice for serving espresso martinis, but coupe glasses are another great option.

    Instructions

This pumpkin spice espresso martini is quick and easy to shake up.

    Step 1: Prep the glass

Rim a cocktail glass by dipping the edge in maple syrup, then into a shallow dish of pumpkin spice sugar.

    Variations

Here are a few easy ways to switch things up.

    • Extra creamy – Add a splash of half-and-half or heavy cream for a richer drink.
    • Less sweet – Swap the Kahlua for coffee infused vodka.
    • Less caffeine – Use decaf espresso to get the coffee flavor with less kick.
