Crab rangoon appetizers are a crowd favorite and this one is easy to make as a baked crab dip with air fryer wonton chips. This creamy seafood dip with all the flavors of the classic Chinese takeout wontons will disappear fast.

Whether you're hosting a get-together or just need a dish to bring, this easy dip recipe is great for everything from holiday finger food to game day snacks.

    Ingredients

You only need a few simple ingredients to make this easy dip.

Cheese, green onions, imitation crab and seasonings for hot crab dip
    • Imitation crab meat - traditional for crab rangoon and budget-friendly.
    • Cream cheese - makes the creamy base for the dip. Let it come to room temperature so it's easy to mix.
    • Sour cream - lightens the texture and adds a little tang.
    • Garlic - a little bit adds savory flavor without overpowering the dip.
    • Soy sauce - for that familiar takeout flavor.
    • Worcestershire sauce - adds depth and savory flavor.
    • Green onions - scallions are used both in the dip and as a garnish on top.
    • Monterey Jack cheese - melts smoothly and adds gooey cheesy flavor.
    • Sweet chili sauce - or sriracha drizzled on top for a hint of sweetness and heat.
    • Wonton wrappers - for making the chips. You can can also use crackers or tortilla chips for a dipper if you don't want to make them.

While the dip bakes, cut the wonton wrappers in half diagonally. Lightly spray both sides with cooking spray and arrange them in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Air fry in batches at 400 degrees for 3 to 5 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crisp and golden.

Baked crab dip plain and topped with sauce.

Once the dip is out of the oven, drizzle sweet chili sauce over the top and sprinkle with the remaining sliced green onions.
