These pinwheels are like having a burger and a roll all in one! The beef is cooked with onions and spices, and mixed with crispy bacon bits and gooey melted cheese.

All rolled up and baked in crescent dough, these pinwheel appetizers are perfect for parties, game day snacks, or anytime you want a quick, tasty bite. You'll love these little burger bites!

    Ingredients You'll Need

You'll need a few simple ingredients to make these bacon cheeseburger pinwheels.

Crescent dough, ground beef, cheese, bacon, salt, pepper, onion and garlic.
    • Crescent dough sheet – This forms the base of your pinwheels. If you can't find crescent dough sheets, use crescent rolls and pinch the seams together.
    • Ground beef – Use your favorite lean hamburger blend.
    • Onion – This classic burger accompaniment adds flavor and texture.
    • Garlic – Minced. A little goes a long way in boosting flavor.
    • Salt and pepper – To season your beef perfectly.
    • Cooked bacon pieces – Use real bacon pieces or cook bacon in the oven and chop into pieces.
    • Shredded cheddar cheese – Use sharp cheddar for melty goodness in every bite.

    Step-By-Step Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F. While it's heating up, chop your onion into small pieces.

Collage of ground beef in skillet uncooked and cooked.

In a medium skillet, cook the ground beef, diced onion, garlic, salt, and pepper over medium heat. Break up the meat as it cooks until it's no longer pink. Drain excess grease if needed.

Collage of crescent roll pinwheels filling, rolled and on baking sheet.

Open your can of crescent dough and unroll the sheet onto a large cutting board. Sprinkle shredded cheese and bacon pieces evenly over the dough, then spread the cooked beef mixture on top.

Starting from one end, roll the dough up tightly until you reach the other side. Using a sharp knife, cut the roll into 12 even slices. Place them flat on a baking sheet.

    Variations

Want to mix things up? Try these tasty twists on cheeseburger pinwheels.

    • Swap the beef for ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
    • Add some heat with diced jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce.
    • Experiment with different cheeses—sharp cheddar, American, mozzarella, or pepper jack for a spicy kick.
    • Use puff pastry instead of crescent dough for a flakier texture.

    Storage & Reheating

Got leftovers? Here's how to store and reheat them.

    • Refrigerate: Store in an airtight container for 2-3 days.
    • Reheat: Warm in the oven at 350°F for about 10 minutes until heated through.
