Bacon Cheeseburger Pinwheels

Ingredients

  • 8 oz tube crescent dough sheet or use crescent rolls and pinch the seams together
  • ¾ lb lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ cup real bacon pieces
  • 1 ½ cups cheddar cheese shredded

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
  • Cook the ground beef, diced onion, garlic, salt and pepper in a skillet over medium heat, breaking the meat up and stirring to cook evenly. Cook until no longer pink, then drain excess grease.
  • Open the can of crescent sheet, then unroll onto a large cutting board.
  • Layer shredded cheese bacon pieces and ground beef mixture.
  • Start from one end, and tightly roll the dough into itself, until it meets the other end.
  • Cut into 12 sections, then arrange those sections flat on a baking sheet.
  • Transfer the baking sheet to the oven and bake for 15 minutes, until golden.
  • Serve with ketchup or your favorite burger sauce.
