Strawberry Margarita Recipe

This strawberry margarita recipe is fruity, and easy to make! With fresh strawberries, tequila, lime and a hint of orange, it's a refreshing twist on a classic. Perfect for summer or any time you want a vibrant, flavorful cocktail!

Ingredients

  • 3 large fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 2 ounces tequila
  • ½ ounce orange liqueur
  • 1 ounce lime juice
  • 1 ounce agave to taste
  • Ice cubes
  • lime wedge to rim glass
  • sea salt and/or sugar to rim glass
  • additional strawberries for garnish

Instructions

  • Rim a margarita glass by running a lime wedge around the edge then dipping it in a shallow plate of sea salt, sugar or a mix of both. Add ice cubes.
  • Muddle the chopped strawberries in the bottom of the shaker until liquified.
  • Add tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, agave and ice to the shaker. Shake until blended and fully chilled, about 15 seconds. 
  • Strain the cocktail into the prepared glass and garnish with a whole strawberry.

Notes

Use fully ripe sweet strawberries for the best flavor.
